If you say Autumn, I say running in the golden leaves, searching for chestnuts with my little sister, complaining about the weather and sipping on a cup of steaming cocoa! Yes, you got the right idea - I freaking love Autumn. Clothing wise it's the most exciting time I think. You can layer it up and have the most fun with styling. Hats, scarves, gloves, different coats and sweaters are all coming out the drawers.
This scenery really reminds me of New York for some reason and every time I pass this house on my way to get groceries, I dream of traveling. I'm wearing my first ever faux silk dress, which I got from New Look. I guess I've never been comfortable enough with my body to pull it off because the material clings to every bump and little curve. But I love this dress, it has a beautiful golden color which shifts its tone in different lightnings. Plus, I'm finally starting to like the off the shoulder style as well.
I have to say that after moving to the UK I've been a lot more confident when deciding what to wear. I feel that when you're in a new environment where you don't know anyone, you can create yourself again in a way. You can wear as silly or as outrageous outfits as you want, especially in a big city like London. You know nobody. Nobody knows you. You have no one to impress. I know that any of that shouldn't matter to people, but the reality is, that it does. When you don't want to move to the other side of the world, start small. Wear a lipstick a shade darker from what you'd normally wear. Try that small fake septum ring. Get a feel of what you would really want to look like.
