This is the first Christmas ever that I am going to be away from my family and that feels quite strange. I am the annoying person who starts singing Christmas songs in October and gets a little bit too carried away with buying fairy lights and eating gingerbread dough. So at first, I wasn't really sure what to plan, but The Boyfriend came to save the day: "Why don't we have a Home Alone kind of adventure which Kevin has in New York? Only we could stay in London!".
Are you kidding! This is the greatest idea ever, because I imagine that our place would feel quite empty during Christmas Eve, since it's just us two. So stay tuned for fancy hotel lobbies, high heels, playing dress-up and some champagne, because we are going to pretend we just walked out of a Vogue cover and are going to conquer the city!
In the meanwhile, I have been writing some post cards for family and friends to wish them a happy Christmas time and to tell them that I'm thinking about them. There's something really lovely about receiving letters. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing my loved ones soon in January.
