A daydream

A daydream

It felt like it had been ages since I last had a good long sleep and didn't have any responsibilities during the whole weekend. And finally the time had come again. Unpack your suitcases, ditch the work clothes and feel the sun on your face while actually strolling around outside in the glistening snow! Yes, yes, yes!

You know, sometimes a simple weekend at home is as exciting as a spontaneous trip to Cuba and I was just feeling it the whole time from Friday to Sunday. February was a bit of a stressful month and I was glad that Spring was finally arriving at my doorstep (even though it was -18 degrees outside this morning). I feel that I fall in love with my Tartu home more and more and it really is a safe place for me. Some people might cringe right now, but I'm going to say it anyways: I'm a Leo and my home is my castle. It has to look nice, smell of candles and be very warm. Sometimes, that alone is completely enough to make a bad day much better.

So what's been happening? Well, I've done some pretty awesome things lately if I might say so myself. The month started with my trial period ending at work, which was a great success - did NOT get fired, who wouldn't like that, right? I got to hang out with my sister a bit more, go to the theater, meet some friends and travel to Turkey and Berlin. Also, we visited Elektriteater multiple times a week to see all Oscar nominated films of the year and as I'm writing this post, sleep deprivation is again biting my ass, because we watched the award show live yesterday night. Bit me in the ass is an expression, right? PS: my favorites were Call Me by Your Name and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

During the work trip to Turkey, I got to cross out Izmir from the list of cities I had never visited before. I also got to eat so much Turkish food that I truly felt like I would finally make my grandmother proud with the expertise in eating way too much. I mean, a couple of baklavas a day is fine, but try multiplying it with a six figure number.

Berlin, however, was a vacation! We went with Oliver's family and the trip was short and cool (just like me). We did all sorts of touristy things, including seeing the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz and many more sights. But we also got to experience true Berlin's nightlife. If you aren't scared, ask for recommendations. It was my first time in Germany and I have to say that I'm in love. Berlin had this sense of rebellious youth and I felt the kind of energy that I hadn't felt in any other place I'd been before. Don't get me wrong, Paris and London will always be in my heart, but I feel like they might have some serious competition.

Speaking of a relaxed weekend, though. I feel like these pictures represent me at my best. I'm at home, it's sunny, I'm sincerely happy, I feel warm and dreamy, I'm smelling of Armani's "Si" and I'm planning future adventures in my mind. So thank you, my lovely photographer, for making me feel so loved and capturing the best version of me, always.

By the way, how do you like the editing? I'm thinking about switching to warm peachy tones completely, because I'm a bit tired of my cold pastel palette that I have right now. Let me know if you like the pictures, I would really appreciate it! :)
